My Sweet Life

Yes, life is sweet when you're a French Bulldog. I spend my days being pampered by two retired people, Jack and Donna, who think I'm just the best thing ever (next to velcro shoes and elastic waistbands, that is). My days are filled with romping in the yard, chasing insects, lazy naps under the patio table, and doggie treats given lovingly just because I'm so cute! What could be better?
Donna tries to teach me "obedience" and cute little tricks, then rewards me with delightful tidbits and treats. Don't tell her, but I believe she's the one being trained. We Frenchies have our ways--I do just enough to make her think she's making progress with me and get rewarded for my hard work. Then, sadly, by the next day I seem to forget what I learned, and poor Donna has to work oh-so-diligently with me again, rewarding me with more luscious morsels. Ah, well, it's fun while it lasts, but I think she's going to catch on soon....

Summer Vacation

I haven't been around too much this summer--we've been on lots of trips. We got a motor home and have been traveling quite a bit. Here's a picture of me relaxing on the couch of the motorhome. Since we went to the ocean a few times, they got me a nifty life jacket so I could enjoy the water along with everyone else. Do you like the bright green color?  We're planning a few more trips soon, so you might not hear from me too often in the near future. I hope your summer has been as much fun as mine!

Allergy/Yeast Infection

Last week I went to the vet who discovered I had a severe ear infection, and my feet were red and itchy. She thought that these symptoms, along with the fact that I had a funny smell, might mean I had a pervasive yeast infection caused by allergies.  Well, Mommy and Daddy bought me new food that is free from chicken, beef, corn, wheat, and soy.  And guess what? I've improved dramatically!  I feel so much better and am not so smelly any more. I also have a special lotion for my ears to clear up the yeast infection. But now, with the new food, I don't think I'll be getting it back. Yahoo!

I'm not a Steelers Fan!

Hey, nobody said I was a Steelers fan, but just look at me! Donna's got me modeling these sillly Steelers clothes! Personally, my favorite is the tank top--it really shows my muscular physique!

My modeling career

She's done it again! Twice in the past week, mommy's made me model a frilly little hoodie for her website! I do look cute, but good golly miss molly! I hope she starts making some more manly things, like that camo hoodie she had a while back. Now that was a great little hoodie. And I looked so ferocious in it! Don't laugh too hard at this picture. :(

SNOW! I LOVE IT!

Boy, where has the time gone? I haven't blogged for months! But that's because Donna was so busy during the holiday season doing craft shows and filling orders for her two on-line shops, The Fab Frenchie and Arriving In Style.  You can see more about them on the right side of the page. But now it's January and we've had some awesome snow, and yesterday was the best of all!  I love snow--it's so much fun to run around in and lick up. The only problem is that so much snow fell yesterday, I practically get buried in it! It comes all the way up to my chest, which is a problem when I'm trying to  go potty. My poor little weenie is completely buried in the snow! Oh, well. Small price to pay for having all that fun! My Bengal hoodie keeps me warm even though I refuse to keep the hood over my ears.  Mommy doesn't let me stay out too long, though. She's a bit overprotective--you know how moms are!

The Reds are Champs!

Wow-my heroes are the NL Central Division Champs! Way to go, Reds! I'm sad that we lost to Philly last night, but we'll show 'em on Friday! Last night was just a diversion to get their confidence up, then we'll deflate those pathetic egos when we WIN on Friday! Yay! I love the warm weather we're having, but I hope it doesn't get too hot to wear my new Reds jacket!
